Team Member Testimonials

“This experience has been a little difficult to start with, but myself, my manager and my team members are all working together, it's all hands on deck approach to this pandemic. It's been a little difficult with the staffing, everyone was a little scared to begin with, but once we got over that hurdle in the first week, now everyone works together and we take pride in what we do here. I love my team members, they don't take anything lightly, as soon as something needs to be done, they jump in and take care of it. ”

-Dwayne Young
Director of Environmental Services

“I was in ICU the other day and a patient got better. That’s what we are here for, we want them to go back home with their families.”

-Leigh Schexnaydre, RN

“The teamwork that is happening has allowed us to be more flexible. It’s a great lesson the team has learned.”

-Erica Piper, BSN, CCRN
Director of Nursing

“I work as a CNA, CSR, sitter, basically any help they need I'm here for.  As long as we have teamwork, it's working out for everybody.”

-Paula King, CNA

“I'm a pulmonary critical care physician. This is my first pandemic, on top of an epidimic we've been through, I worked through the H1N1 and also the Ebola scare and all of the hurrcianes since Katrina. So some experience with this chaos, this one is a little more chaotic than previous just because this is a new and novel infection and it behaves differently for us. So this is truly one where the learning is as we go and the information coming in is fast and furious and we're having to adjust on the fly.

But what has inspired me the most is the teamwork of the nurses and the respiratory therapists more than anything else, The teamwork is nothing like I've seen before. You go about your job and don't pay attention to any of the extraneous, when people start paying attention to what you're doing and giving you compliments, in a way it almost feels undeserved. For me, I'm just doing my job and working with the nurses and respiratory therapists, they deserve [the accolades] more than me.”
