Men's Health Services

As a member of the Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Men's Health Center, you have access to two main types of visits: the Annual Health Review and the Acute Care Visit.

Annual Health Review

We believe the Annual Health Review (AHR) is the most important interaction patients have with us. This is a comprehensive review that allows us to address health issues, medications, and immunizations, and provide healthcare recommendations to help prevent disease.

The AHR includes a thorough physical exam, review of all blood work and/or x-rays, and advice regarding any threats to your health. This review is included in the cost of membership, but you also have the option to upgrade to an Executive Wellness Exam.

Acute Care Visit

In the event you experience a minor illness or injury, we will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. You can reach us via the following options.

• Telephone. When you call the center, our staff will get you in touch with an available care provider directly or schedule a return phone call for you.

• Email. MyChart provides a secure option to send a question to Dr. Chastain, Todd, or our staff. We’ll get back to you by the end of the center day.

• Text. You can request an appointment or ask a question through text message, and we’ll get back to you quickly. As texting is not secure, we do not recommend sending detailed medical questions by text.

• Video Visit. WebEx, a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing tool, gives us the ability to visually examine medical concerns (a mole, rash, etc.) and save you a trip to our office.

• Drop-In. Although we prefer scheduling a specific time with you, we’re happy to accommodate drop-in visits for your convenience. Please keep in mind that there may be a wait time.
  
  

Additional Services

Executive Wellness Exam

The Executive Wellness Exam is a three-hour review that includes extended one-on-one time with Dr. Chastain, additional diagnostic imaging, and cardiovascular screening. For an additional fee, you can upgrade your Annual Health Review to this exam. An Executive Wellness Exam is included in the Platinum Membership plan.

Imaging Studies

Members also have the option to purchase additional screening, such as a coronary calcium scan, CT angiogram, and PET/CT scan. While these tests are instrumental in the early detection of disease, they typically are not reimbursed by insurance. However, your membership provides significant discounts.

Lab Testing

You may also purchase additional lab testing, including detailed lipid analysis for cardiovascular screenings, cancer screening tests, and even genetic testing.
