Preceptor Descriptions

Britney Mellor, Pharm.D., BCPS
Senior Director of Pharmacy Services

Dr. Mellor received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree as valedictorian of her class from the University of Houston. She completed both her PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Critical Care residencies at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. She was awarded the Toxicology Resident Award in 2013. Dr. Mellor was also awarded Residency Preceptor of the Year in 2015 by UMass pharmacy residents where she also served as PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency Director. She joined OLOL in 2015 as one of the first two Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialists, and in 2017 she began serving as the PGY1 Residency Program Director. She became the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at OLOL in 2019 and now serves as the Senior Director of Pharmacy at Our Lady of the Lake for the Baton Rouge Market.

Jennifer Jones, PharmD, BCPS
Informatics Pharmacist

Dr. Jones graduated from Mississippi State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology.  She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida.  Dr. Jones joined OLOL in 2012 as one of the first PGY1 Pharmacy Residents. She serves on the InPharmation Newsletter Committee, Pharmacy Council, and Residency Advisory Committee.  Dr. Jones serves as a preceptor for Xavier and ULM students.

Wendy Gaudet, PharmD.
Vice President of Operations

Dr. Gaudet received her Bachelor of Science in Biology before graduating from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2006 with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She joined the management team at OLOL in 2013 and specializes in oversight of the ambulatory pharmacy infusion services for oncology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology. She participates in numerous committees, including Oncology Service Line, Oncology Operations, LSU Leadership and Managers, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Nursing Policy and Procedure, Pharmacy Policy and Procedure, Regional Directors, and Integrated Cancer Committees. Dr. Gaudet’s current interests include work on projects such as LSU Health Baton Rouge CEA with FMOLHS, Ambulatory EPIC Conversion, Pyxis Upgrades, Woman’s Cancer Center build, and Cancer Center Specialty Pharmacy build.

Michael C. Ezebuenyi, B. Tech, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCP
Cardiology Clinical Specialist

Dr. Ezebuenyi received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 2015. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at University Medical Center/Xavier College of Pharmacy in 2016. He obtained a Scholarship of Teaching Certificate from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Dr. Ezebuenyi joined OLOL in 2016 and started as a member of the Internal Medicine clinical staff group. He now serves as the Cardiology Clinical Specialist and is a member of the Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, Reduce the Risk-PCI Bleed, Residency Advisory Council, and Pharmacy Resident Research Committees. He is also an adjunct clinical professor for Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and serves as an APPE clinical preceptor for Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy. His practice interests include cardiology, pharmacokinetics, nutrition support, and antimicrobial and anticoagulant stewardship.

Amanda Bridges, Pharm.D.
Critical Care Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Dr. Bridges graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center where she also received her Teaching and Learning Certificate from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bridges recently joined the OLOL team as the Surgical Intensive Care Unit Clinical Staff Pharmacist in 2020. She is involved with Residency Advisory Committee and Pharmacy Council. Her areas of interest include critical care, fluid stewardship, parenteral nutrition, code blue response and antimicrobial stewardship.

Emily Johnston, Pharm.D., BCCCP

PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program Director

Dr. Johnston received her undergraduate training at Louisiana State University and further went on to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 2017. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake in 2018. Dr. Johnson received her teaching certificate at South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Dr. Johnston completed her PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Prisma Health Richland, in Columbia, South Carolina, in 2019. She is involved in Residency Advisory Council Subcommittee, Code Blue Committee, Critical Care Operations, and Residency Research Subcommittee. Her interests are critical care, code blue response, sepsis, and pain/sedation management.

Haley Cockroft Smith, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP
Neuro Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist
PGY1 Residency Program Director

Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mississippi and further went on to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2017. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at University Health Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2018 where she also received her Teaching Certificate from the University of Louisiana-Monroe School of Pharmacy. She joined the team at OLOL in July of 2018 as one of the Critical Care Clinical Staff Pharmacists and transitioned into the Neuro Critical Care Specialist role in 2020. Dr. Smith serves on several committees including the Stroke Leadership and Neuro-Sciences Committee, Residency Advisory Committee, Education Committee, and is chair of the Residency Recruitment Committee as well as has served as South Central LSHP Chapter president for two years from 2019-2021. Dr. Smith serves as an APPE Clinical preceptor for the University of Louisiana-Monroe School of Pharmacy and recently became the PGY1 Residency Program Director in 2021. Her interest areas include stroke and tPA management, status epilepticus, RSI management, code blue response, and toxicology.

Madalyn Kirkwood, Pharm.D., BCCCP
Trauma Neuro Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Kirkwood received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she then completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and recently completed her PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She joined the OLOL team in August of 2021 as a Critical Care Clinical Staff Pharmacist and recently transitioned into the Trauma Neuro Critical Care Clinical Specialist position. She is studying for board certification in critical care. Her practice interests include critical care, trauma, emergency medicine, cardiology, and psychiatry.

Christina Metrejean, Pharm.D.
Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Metrejean received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from The University of Arizona and further went on to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Arizona in 2018. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake in 2018. Dr. Metrejean earned her teaching certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. She is involved in the Residency Advisory Council and Stroke Committee, serves as the pharmacy department newsletter Chair, and serves as a Clinical Instructor for The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. She recently earned her Emergency Neurological Life Support certificate and is seeking board certification in emergency medicine when it becomes available next year. Her interests include critical care, toxicology, and emergency preparedness.

Dylan LeBlanc, Pharm.D., BCPS
Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. LeBlanc received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy in 2017. He completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri in 2018, where he received his teaching certificate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. He joined the team at Our Lady of the Lake in January 2020, where he practices as one of the Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialists. He is involved in the Stroke committee. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy and his practice interest include emergency medicine, toxicology, and infectious disease.

Parth Parikh, Pharm.D., BCPS
Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Parikh received his Bachelors in Biological Sciences from the Rutgers University and further went on to obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina in 2017. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia, in 2018, where he also received his teaching certificate. Dr. Parikh completed his PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ in 2019. He joined the team at Our Lady of the Lake in July 2019, where he practices as one of the Emergency Medicine Specialists. He is involved in several committees including: Stroke, Trauma, Code Blue, and the Residency Advisory Council. His current interests include acute pain management, procedural sedation, infectious diseases, and toxicology.

Danielle Ricks, Pharm.D., BCPS
Internal Medicine Clinical Staff

Dr. Ricks received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 2013. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in 2014 and joined the team at OLOL as part of the Internal Medicine Clinical Staff upon completion of her residency. Dr. Ricks serves on the Preceptor Development Subcommittee and Pharmacy Counsel Committee at OLOL and has recently taken on the role of Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor.

Jennifer Hartenstein, Pharm.D.
Internal Medicine Clinical Staff

Dr. Hartenstein received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi in 1981 then later returned to school to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 1999. She joined Our Lady of the Lake in 2009 serving as the clinical pharmacist for PACE of Baton Rouge, a program for the care of the elderly. Dr. Hartenstein transitioned to the Internal Medicine Clinical Staff group in 2018. She is studying for board certification in pharmacotherapy and her interests include internal medicine and geriatrics.

Kaitlyn Ledet, Pharm.D., BCPS
Internal Medicine Clinical Staff

Dr. Ledet received her Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and went on to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2020. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and received her Teaching Certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in June 2021. After residency, Dr. Ledet joined the OLOL team as an Internal Medicine Clinical Staff Pharmacist. She is currently studying for BCPS certification. Her current interests include internal medicine and critical care.

Rosanna Dastoori, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP
Internal Medicine Clinical Staff

Dr. Dastoori received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 2017. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in 2018 where she also completed the University of Connecticut online teaching certificate program. She recently joined the team again after completing some time at UC Health in Denver, CO. She serves on several committees including the Code Blue Committee, Residency Recruitment Subcommittee, and the Residency Advisory Council. She is the past local president of the Louisiana Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and current member. She is board certified in critical care. Her interests are critical care, emergency medicine, toxicology, shock, and endocrine emergencies.

Anjali Namjoshi, Pharm.D.
Investigational Drug Pharmacist

Dr. Namjoshi received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 1995 graduating at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. She completed her residency training at the VA Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and joined Our Lady of the Lake in 1999. She previously served as the Clinical Pharmacist in Adult Critical Care for fifteen years before moving to her current position as the Investigational Drug Pharmacist. Dr. Namjoshi offers an elective rotation in investigational drug service that introduces the resident to various aspects of conducting actual clinical trials involving a pharmaceutical agent. She has served on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Nutrition Support Team and the Critical Care Committee as well as adjunct clinical faculty for University of Louisiana in Monroe College of Pharmacy where she received Preceptor of the Year Award in May 2005.

Victoria Rathcke, Pharm.D, BCPS
Transitions of Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Rathcke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology for the Louisiana State University and went on to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2020. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and received her Teaching Certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in June 2021. After residency, Dr. Rathcke joined the OLOL team as the Transitions of Care Pharmacist and is currently studying for board certification. Her interest areas include ambulatory care, internal medicine, and diabetes management.
