Tobacco-Free Campus

Our Lady of the Lake is a tobacco-free and smoke-free campus a part of our commitment to the good health and safety of our patients, guests and team members.

In accordance with local and state ordinances smoking or tobacco use is banned inside the facilities and anywhere on our property including the Regional Medical Center, Livingston campus, physician group locations, outpatient clinics, and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. This tobacco-free zone applies to everyone, including patients, family members of patients and guests, as well as employees, contract labor, vendors, medical staff, and volunteers.

As a healthcare organization, we are both an educator and a model for healthy behavior in the community. We see firsthand the devastating effects of tobacco - from cancer and heart disease to asthma and emphysema.

We understand that our policy may be difficult for some, but on behalf of everyone on our team, thank you for your continued support of this standard to create a safer and healthier environment for all who enter Our Lady of the Lake facilities.
